What is Relief Module ?
Relief teacher selection process module is an application which can only be used in tandem with CELCAT Timetabler (UK) package. The purpose of this application is to enable College/School to identify their absent teacher/teachers and search for relief teachers via class, subject or grade basis. While searching for relief teacher/teachers, the application is cable of displaying their up-to-date total number of relief duties, present day relief duties and their occupied number of teaching periods for that day. This additional knowledge of information will enable the system administrator to take a well balance approach to correctly identify most suitable relief teacher/teachers for the College/School. At the end of relief teacher/teachers selection process, the application will print slips for each relief teacher for better record keeping purpose. If required, the system also provides functionality for printing summary as well as detailed teacher/teachers relief duties for the whole College/School.
When the College/School administrator login to Relief Teacher Process application, the administrator will be given following entry options.

- Edit Today’s Relief
- Unscheduled Teachers
- Relief Teacher Slip Production
- Relief Teacher Summery / Detail Reports
- Absent Teacher Detail Report
Flexible methods for finding relief teacher
Administrator will be allowed to choose teachers from a specific department such as Primary/Secondary/English medium/Tamil medium etc. Once the departmental selection is made then the administrator can choose available teachers from subject, class and/or Grade based teacher selection. For each absent teacher the administrator could use different options of selecting subject/class/grade to suit the College/School needs. Once the selection is made the system will start to display teaching periods for selected absent teacher that require relief duties.

Administrator can start to highlight each period row for relief teacher recommendation by the system. When the period row is highlighted, the panel on the right hand side will indicate available teachers for that period. As well as displaying the name of those teachers, the system will display additional information such as up-to-date relief total, relief duties (if any) for that processing date and number of occupied (teaching) periods for that processing date. These additional information will enable the administrator to make an inform decision who should be selected for the relief duty.
Reporting
Once all relief duties are allocated, the module will display all relief teacher information with details. Now the administrator can proceed to take the printing options as indicated.
